Privacy Policy

General

At Captain Diginaut, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our website, apps, games, and related services ("Services", as defined in our Terms of Use). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users, including those accessing the platform individually or through schools, companies, or organizations. Additional terms may apply for enterprise or institutional users.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Registration

To use Captain Diginaut, you may be asked to provide your name, age, email address, and optionally a username. You may also choose to register using social login options (e.g., Google or Microsoft), in which case we may receive your basic profile information from that provider.

b. Profile & Learning Progress

After registration, a user profile is created. Your username, display name, badges earned, city progress, level, and scores may be shown on leaderboards or public pages. However, your personal information (PII or PHI data) such as email address and age are never shared publicly.

Your profile includes:

  • Zones and cities conquered (e.g., Qila, Disha)
  • Badges or titles earned (e.g., Digital Fort Guard)
  • Points or GEMS collected

You can choose to make your profile private from the settings page.

c. Gamified Recognition & Public Tributes

Captain Diginaut celebrates your learning journey through features like:

This section may show your name/username and achievements on some of our social media channels. This would not include any PII data. We would like to celebrate your achievements tagging your social media accounts, however that will be only if you provide account names with us and with your consent. You can control or change your preferences whether or not you're featured by contacting us.

d. AI Interactions & Speech Recognition

If you use AI-powered chat agents or voice-enabled features (that are hosted on our website in future).

  • We may process text, answers, and audio input to provide personalized feedback or gamified interactions.
  • Your input may be shared with trusted AI providers like OpenAI for processing.
  • Audio or text may be analyzed to enhance the learning experience — but not for voice cloning.
  • We do not use any sensitive personal data to train AI models.

Avoid submitting personal, sensitive, or confidential information in open-ended questions or AI chats.

e. Activity & Device Data

When you interact with the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser/device info
  • Learning patterns, zones visited, scores earned
  • Error logs, feature usage, session time

This helps us monitor platform performance, ensure fair gameplay, and improve your experience. This is first-party data on our platform, and this will not be shared with third-party.

f. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar tools for session management, personalization, and analytics. These may include:

  • Essential cookies (e.g., to keep you logged in)
  • Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics, FullStory)

You can manage your preferences via our Cookie Settings or disable cookies in your browser. We do not store sensitive information in cookies, and tracking is minimized for users under 16 or those who opt out.

g. Google Analytics tool

We use Google Analytics to understand how users engage with our website. It's a standard and widely used tool that uses first-party cookies to track user interactions. The data collected is analyzed with the purpose of enhancing user experience on our site and making the product better for our users. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's browser add-on available here.

2. School, Institution, and Organization Accounts

"Institutions" refers to schools, colleges, companies, and other organizations. Captain Diginaut allows Institutions to register and enroll multiple users under a single account or program (e.g., through DigiVerse Leagues, inter-school/corporate challenges, or digital literacy initiatives).

Captain Diginaut may reach out to schools, colleges, and corporate organizations to inform them of our services and encourage their students or employees to participate. Institutions are not required to enter into any formal agreement, provide payment, or undertake administrative responsibilities to enable access to our services. On the contrary, if they want to do so, we could engage on a case to case basis.

  • Point of contact details (e.g., teacher or manager's name and email)
  • Group/class identifiers or team names
  • Aggregate learner engagement and quiz performance
  • Any optional information provided for group tracking or recognition purposes

We do not display publicly individual student or employee personal information (e.g., email, full name) without explicit approval. This data will be used only for internal purposes for managing our services and ensuring seamless experience for the institutions or organizations.

b. How Institutional Data is Used

We use institutional data to:

  • Register and manage learners on behalf of the organization.

The School or Organization name will not be publicly displayed unless "opt-in consent" is provided. For participants or administrators, no contact information or organization details will be shared with third-parties.
